More info

Maria Vincenza Giacobbe is a sculptor, teacher of Sculpture and Applied Arts at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, she lives and works in Milan. Her artistic research also extends to the world of fashion design with the creation of sculptural jewels that also arise from an encounter with historic fashion houses such as De Wan, which with its long tradition combines art and fashion in the sense of a "Useful Art", as the artist herself likes to define it, also presenting the recent sculptures - object of the Verticalità series in brass and plexiglass. The collections of one-of-a-kind jewels, Fossili, Scritture and Vento, evoke a Mediterranean Magna Graecia culture in the primordial and spiritual forms of the sculptural material, between free informal lines and a more structural geometric sign.
